What are your hours of operation? Our normal tour schedule and Aqua Cycle rental begins at 11:00 a.m. til early evening. Both are available outside these hours upon request.
Do I need a reservation? Not necessarily, however, to assure you of that day's schedule, or to reserve an Aqua Cylce, or Charter an electric Duffy boat tour that fits your schedule, it would be adviseable to call our office at 989-652-3400. 
How do I find you? This question needs addressing because you will not see the river when you drive by our boarding area. We are in "Mid-Town" Frankenmuth, at the top of the hill. Between the Frankenmuth Brewery and the Marv Herzog Hotel. We board at our Chocolates & More store, where tickets may be purchased (see map at right). The river is behind these buildings, out of sight from Main Street. We also have an unmanned dock at Heritage Park behind the Bavarian Inn Lodge, where groups are usually directed, for easy access and parking. Special arrangements must be made in advance for a pick up at this location. Call 989-652-3400.
How long are the tours? Our regular tour lasts approximately one hour; however we also have added a special 35-minute tour. Aqua Cycle rentals are for 45 minutes.
What about inclement weather? The electric boats can be totally enclosed, and are quite comfortable should it rain. Of course, we would cancel if the weather would be too stormy or inclement that participation would be dangerous, or uncomfortable. We would then offer full refunds for any advance purchases.
What about boat motion or rough water? The water is calm, and the river is narrow enough to always be close to shore. There is little or no sensation of movement that should cause discomfort.
Are there life jackets on board? Yes, the electric boats are DNR certified and adequate life jackets are on board. The boat captain is also DNR certified. As for the Aqua Cycle rentals, comfortable life vests are provided, and required for each passenger.
What about restrooms? We have a public restroom in our Chocolates and More Store.
Are the tours aboard the electric boats narrated? The captains are very knowledgeable and informative, and mention points of interests, and interact with guests based upon their interests. They do not particularly provide a narrated tour with a prepared script.
Are there restrictions for the Aqua Cycle rentals? There are certain safety guidelines that we provide, and we require an adult to be on each Aqua Cycle rented. Aqua Cycles must yield right of way to other larger vessels, and are not allowed beyond the covered bridge.
Where do I park? Parking is available across the street, however for groups, we may arrange for a pick up at our heritage park dock, where parking is in quite close proximity to the boat dock, and perhaps a little easier for groups to assemble.
What about method of payment? We accept cash or charge.
Are there special promotional discounts available? There are periodic promotional discounts that can be found at area businesses and the Frankenmuth Visitor Center.
